As Elsa from Frozen once sang, ‘Let it go, let it go!’ … Well, that’s what we’ve decided to do with Google Analytics. Yes, sometimes you have to let go of some baggage in order to move onward and upward.
At Genially, we take our users’ security very seriously. That’s why we recently stopped supporting Google Analytics and the option to add your GA ID in your Genially account, as it no longer meets the privacy standards we set for our users.
You may have already had a Google Analytics tracking ID configured in your account. If this is the case, you will maintain access to the feature and will continue to receive information in your Google Analytics account. If you’d like some more information, here are some tutorials.
On the other hand, we recommend that if you need to analyze how your audience interacts with your creations, you use Genially's analytics feature. It doesn't need to be integrated with an external platform because you'll find it within the tool itself, and it will provide you with information such as number of views, views per day, total interactions ... and much more! Here's a tutorial if you'd like to learn more about this feature.
