If you've made it this far, it means you've created your workspace and need to give it a personal touch to make you and your team feel at home. Well, here's what you can customize in your workspace to make it even more welcoming.

To access your workspace settings, click on the gear icon next to the name of your workspace and then click on the Team tab. You can also access the settings from the main Panel by clicking on the pencil icon at the bottom right of the header image.

Things you can personalize in your workspace

Once you’re in your workspace settings, you can customize the following items:

1. Header image

It is possible to change the default header image to one that better represents your workspace. Follow these simple steps:

  • Click on the pencil icon on the right side of the image.
  • Browse through the folders on your computer to choose your image and click OK.
  • That's it! Your new header image is now uploaded and set.

We recommend that the image you use as header does not exceed approximately 1000x140px in the allowed formats (.png or .jpg) and be a maximum of 5mb in size.

You can also change the logo of your workspace in Genially to your team's logo or any other logo that identifies your workspace. To do this:

  • Click on the pencil icon at the top right of the logo.
  • Find and select your team logo and then click OK.
  • All set! You now have your custom logo.

The recommendation for the logo is simple: use an image in square format with dimensions no larger than 64x64px and a size of less than 5mb to make sure that your workspace logo looks as it should.

3. Team name and description

Other customizable aspects are the workspace name and description. These attributes are probably the most representative of your workspace, so we recommend that you use a name that represents all the members of your team. Keep in mind that the team name cannot be longer than 20 characters and the team description cannot be longer than 120 characters. It's time to get creative.

To change them, you just have to delete the default text from the text boxes and substitute it with the name and description of your choice: Power Rangers, Spice Girls, Liverpool F.C… Whatever you like!
