The canvas background is the space you create and edit your genially on. As well as adding elements such as images, icons, and text, you have the option to personalize the background of your canvas.
Applying a different background can completely change the appearance of your creation. You can improve your creations with just one quick action, in just a few clicks. It’s time to unleash your creativity!

What is the canvas background?
It’s the area that your canvas occupies; the part you add the elements of your design to. You can see it in the Editor: it’s the space within the outline of the gray rectangle. This is what the canvas background looks like before your personalize your page background:
For example, in the following image, the canvas background is the white part in the center.
You can apply the same canvas background to all the pages of your genially or make it different for each page.
How to choose a canvas background
Click on Background in the left toolbar. You’ll see two tabs: Canvas and Base. By default, it will open on the Canvas tab. If you click on either of them, you can review the options available for choosing your background:
Current background
Upload an image from your computer
Upload an image from a URL
Choose a background color
Choose an image from the Genially gallery. Click on Show more to see all the backgrounds in the gallery and choose the one you like best. You can also apply a search filter.
Choose an image from Pixabay. Click on Show more to see all the backgrounds in this gallery. You can also filter your search by writing keywords in the search bar at the top.
Choose your own image or background that you’ve uploaded to your Brand Kit section.
How to apply a canvas background
1. In the Background section, click on the Canvas tab.
2. Select the background you want by clicking on it and it will automatically be applied to your canvas.
3. If you want to automatically apply the background you’ve chosen to all the pages of your genially, click on the Apply to all pages button at the bottom.
